Ok....

So I have been in the ER the last 2 nights since i was diagnosed with Pneumonia in Urgent Care Friday night...My upper back, chest and left arm are killing me and I feel like I cant breath it's horrible..... Most of these symptoms have been going on for over 3 months now and no one can figure it out but lately they have got much worse.....Anyway I went in today and the DR says I don't have Pneumonia so I can stop my antibiotics....I'm like OK so how is it one day I have it one day I don't he had no answer all he said was urgent care was treating it that way cause that's what it sounded like to them.....I don't get it though cause they told us it showed up on my chest xray in my left lung.....I'm so done with this Navy Base Hospital or I should say all Hospitals on this Island they have no answers I just don't get it. So after my husband and I talked the heads off of them they decided to send me off Island to a Pulmonary specialist and to have another MRI done as well....... Hopefully we will know something soon :) I will keep you all up to date....Waiting to hear back from my OB doctor as well to ask him more about my clomid dosage as I will be starting it soon for this cycle....

Hope you feel better soon, that really stinks- I know so many people who have gotten really sick this year. Good luck with your upcoming cycle- has your doctor talked to you about doing something other then Clomid- Follistim or Gonal-F? Doing Clomid cycles over and over is not good for your uterine lining- it can thin it out and make implantation harder for the embryo. Follistim and Gonal-F are stronger then Clomid, but taken in small doses have been successful with IUI. I would just make sure your doctor is monitoring you with ultrasounds every couple of days to check your follicle growth- it's a lot better then just going on a fertility monitor, when your follicles get to a specific measurment (usually around 18-20mm)- you can take the HCG trigger shot- which forces the follicle to release the egg approx 36 hours later- you then can time your IUI perfectly.

I'm waiting on a call from him so as soon as he calls I will be sure to mention that to him. As far as ultrasounds for my follicles they have never done one. He always checks my progesterone levels to see how well I ovulated and it always comes back 20/ 20.7 so I'm assuming that's good from what he said. I don't know though. Thanks so much for all the advice though :)

I would ask about doing a different drug, most fertility doctors won't do more then 3 cycles with Clomid. Most docs do blood work to check the progesterone levels after ovulation, but doing ultrasounds while you are stimming is key, it allows the doctor to make changes to medication prior to the IUI if needed. Have you thought about IVF? It would greatly increase your odds from about 15% with IUI to almost a 60% success rate.

We just see a normal OBGYN Dr on base who's certified to do IUI. So they do not have all of the stuff there for that. He pretty much just does the IUI and gets my blood work. That's how I got pregnant the last time. So we will see I will ask him though when he calls. As far as IVF we would love to do that we have talked about it but our insurance dosn't pay much at all and we do not have the funds like that right now that's only reason we have not done that :) We sure would love to though. It would be about 20,000 or more for us. For now we will just pray it happens...
